I'm Mackenzie. I'm a photographer, a wife and a mom. I have two boys, Charlie (9) and Archie (6) and a daughter, Marlowe (6 months). Becoming a mom changed everything for me, but especially how I value and approach photography. I have a deeper appreciation for how photos tell the story of this season in my life. I want to leave my children a legacy that they can see and feel, and photography is the most beautiful way to preserve that legacy for my kids. I'd love to do the same for yours.

How it works
To book a session, a contract and session fee are required. During our pre-session consultation, we will walk through location and styling options. After the session, we will meet again for your ordering appointment. This is where you view and select your images.
LOCATION
The location of your session is up to you! I recommend choosing between your home, the studio or an outdoor location around the Milwaukee. I have several favorite spots and I'd love to talk more about the feel and look you're striving for to help you narrow down your options when it comes to location.
waRDROBE STYLING
I offer limited wardrobe options for my Mamas and kids to wear for their session. All newborn sessions in the studio include the use of my newborn wraps and blankets. The wardrobe is included in the session fee and available to everyone. If you don't see something in the wardrobe that speaks to you, I am more than happy to also help you source your own styling options.
The SEssion
Regular portrait sessions last up to one hour and will take place at your choice of location. I keep the sessions fun and natural, I talk to my clients the entire time so that you're never left wondering what you should be doing. If shooting outdoors, we will schedule the session as close to golden hour as possible.
Newborn sessions last up to two hours and will take place in my natural light studio. We will take as many breaks as necessary to feed, soothe and change baby.
DELIVERY
Your viewing appointment will take place one week after your session, and can take place either in your home or in the studio. This is the first time you will see your images, and decide what artwork you'd like to purchase. You'll have an opportunity to see and touch all the products, frame options and albums. I love to assist in guiding my clients on what pieces will look best in their homes and believe in providing tangible products that will serve as heirlooms for generations in my clients' homes.
CUSTOM FRAMING
As a professional photographer I believe the worst disservice I can do is to email my clients a link and password to a gallery and hope for the best. When you invest in photography, you should walk away with beautiful, fine art products to display in your home, to be loved for generations. I offer custom framing and gallery design and at your viewing appointment, we will determine what products fit your needs and budget, together.
HEIRLOOM ALBUMS
Handcrafted albums are the perfect way to remember your baby's first year, your toddler's milestones or your family's yearly portrait session. Putting your most precious memories in your hands and off your hard drive, my albums are made from the highest quality archival printing and binding so they are meant to endure a lifetime or more.
Designed in your choice of linen, vegan leather or suede covers.

The studio is perfect for those looking for a more traditional portrait experience. Located in the Walker Lake district of St. Louis Park, the studio is available for all sessions. My studio is set up to accommodate my natural, baby-led approach to photographing newborns and families. Relax in my lounge, feel and see sample products and try on wardrobe while I photograph baby.

Some clients opt for in home sessions. Shooting your session in your home is comfortable, convenient and truly captures what life looks like for your family during this season.

There's no shortage of picturesque backdrops in and around the Twin Cities, and when timed right, that golden hour sunlight creates the most magical portraits. From one of our many lakes to a quiet city street, we can find the perfect setting for your outdoor session.
WARDROBE STYLING
WHAT TO WEAR
I want to take the stress out of planning for your portrait session and figuring out what to wear. I proudly offer a collection of dresses to outfit Mama, in a range of sizes and styles to accommodate all bodies and style preferences.
For the Littles
I offer wardrobe options for children up to age 5. The children's wardrobe is full of rompers, dresses, sweaters and knits in soft fabrics and a simple, neutral color palette. I also offer a selection of soft, stretchy wraps for those swaddled newborn photos.

From wardrobe to wall art, I pride myself on providing a full service portrait experience. You can rest assured that your investment will result in a memorable experience and tangible products. My goal is to take the stress out of family portraits while providing heirloom artwork for your family to cherish for generations.
HOW DO WE BOOK?
A signed contract and retainer fee are required to hold your spot. All clients have access to a private client portal where all documents including contracts and invoices are readily accessible.
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE?
My pricing is structured so that each family invests in only the products they truly love and want in their home. The session fee covers a consultation, wardrobe, the shoot and a viewing appointment.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
If it rains, we will reschedule! I want you to walk away with not only beautiful portraits and heirloom products, but also with a wonderful experience. We can't control the weather, so if the conditions are not ideal, or won't yield beautiful portraits, we will reschedule.
